Shelter for Street Children by Bale Angel
Bale Anghel (Home of Angels) is a place for street children to eat, bathe and be clothed, learn to read and write, learn about God, learn basic skills, play and rest.
Many of us have had uncomfortable encounters while walking along the streets or sitting in a restaurant, when we are approached by barefoot, half-naked street children asking for food. Others can be seen tapping on tinted car windows, asking for money. We see mothers holding out undernourished babies outside the nearby 7/11. At night, they sleep wherever their tired feet end their walk for the day. Often this is in front of a closed establishment down town.
Bale Anghel is a place to where children can be children, a place where they can receive their basic rights:
- to have a decent meal
- to be able to take a bath and have clean clothes
- to have access to medical assistance and first aid treatment
- to learn basic reading and writing
- to have basic counseling to emotional and psychological problems
- to have someone to talk to who will understand and not judge
- to play and be with other children
- to sleep and restand most importantly, to learn about God and have a hope for the futur e
Be the Difference!
YOU can truly be the difference for these children... this is not just a slogan, it is the truth!
Here are some ways that you can be the difference in these children's lives:
1. Invite everyone you know to the gala.
This is by far one of the most important things you can do. By inviting others you are making them aware of the plight of the homeless children in Angeles City. You are multiplying the help that this evening of dinner and dancing will give to the Bale Angel. Please ask your family and friends to attend this wonderful event, give them the opportunity to be the difference too.
2. Help to educate others on this special cause and evening.
Do you blog? Are you on Facebook? Have media connections? Help us spread the word on this important evening and cause.
3. Donate.
Donate to Bale Angel. Bale Angel is an extraordinary organization just trying to ensure children have the basic needs.
4. Recruit gifts or services for the auction.
We depend on you and local businesses to donate items for our silent auction and raffle. Do you offer a service that would be valuable to our guests? Donate it. Do you have a special collection? Donate a piece. Do you have access to discounts to certain products? Donate the product. It is a great way to advertise your business. You will be thanked in both the gala program and on the newsletter.
